Air bag worries

I need to take apart my heat/air vent system to clean all the leaves out.
They are driving me bonkers. But will it set off the air bag? Or will take the battery loose be enough?:4-dontknow:

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable and wait a couple minutes before diving in and you'll be fine.

Thanks Remerson. I greatly appreciate it.

Recommend removing the negative battery terminal and let it sit for at least 15 min to dissipate any residual charge. Then should be no problems disconnecting the air bags. Remember, even when this is done, don't have your face near the bag when you're pulling the connection.

DO I need to pull the connection to get the vent stuff out? can I not get it out the bottom. with out touching the air bag?

I've been able to get at the leaves several times simply by dropping the blower motor under the dash, 3 screws, if I recall 5/16 and didn't come close to dash and airbags.

Thanks Street Bob. That is what I am talking bout. LOL. I was hoping it was easier then pulling every bit of dash and vents.
