I have a single in dual out flowmaster super 44. It is 3" in with 2.5"'s out. I love it. I got 2.5" pipes running to 4"x18" stainless steel chrome plated rolled edge tips. I love the sound and the look.

Might want to think about stepping down to 2.5" duals.

i was thinking about that as i really dont like the way it sounds but that is the way i bought it a month sounds great under hard accel and ok at idle but just driving around town it sound like a car that has a bad muffler lol.will 2.5 give it more bottom end also?thanks

what other engine mods do you have?...I agree, stepping down to 2.5" should increase low-end tq.

I ran 3" true duals before and went back to 2.5". 2.5" true duals is great especially with an xpipe.
That's just my humble opinion and experience.

thanks for the compliment Bob (means lots as I respect your knowhow)...

and his experience isn't humble..hehe... Bob knows his stuff fellas... he's one of the guys/vendors who has helped me get my truck to where it is today... I never planned on bein one of the fastest... I just did things here and there, and slowly did mod after mod.. started in 05 and finally got pretty much everything I wanted installed by 09.. I let my a$$ dictate to me when I should stop..and now it's satisfied:smileup:

well i went a single 3" in to dual 3" out the side with a Flowmaster 50 series and its too quiet IMO.Id say same setup but a 40 series and it would be perfect.
