Truck has fuel supply problem

My 2003 Dodge 2500 Standard Tranny Diesel Truck is kinda lurching as I drive it. It seemed to me that my fuel pump had gone bad, so I replaced that. The Truck ran fine, but started doing it again..Have also recently replaced my filter...but the truck is still not getting consistant fuel or something that is making the fuel cut off for seconds at a time, then back on, etc. The truck has 140,000 miles, has sat for months at a time, has had Regular Diesel, Biodiesel, blends, and who knows what else put in the fuel tank. Is it likely to have water in the fuel? ANy suggestions?:thk:

Which fuel pump are you referring to? The lift pump or injector pump? If it's sat for long periods of time with water in the system, the injectors could be the problem.
