Thats it on a brush fire we had a while back. Pulled out the forrestry service truck and another departments brush that day and never got stuck. Ill look for some better pics and put them up. This truck will never leave our department it is a beast.

Cool stuff! Thanks for posting. Looks like your department keeps that truck in top shape.

That was the power wagon from one station I run with, the other station has one as well but the civilian version. Its not as beastly as this one though. And that day where the pictures taken it pulled out that ford in the first picture and the ford in the second picture.

My dad told me a story how he ran the truck himself to a brush fire, put the thing in 1st and let it drive along while he was on the hose line putting out the fire.

We love this truck so much that when the engine block cracked or whatever it was that almost seemed un-fixable, we found parts to keep her in service.

This truck isnt a dodge, but it has won first place in its class at the Wildwood fire convention for the past 4 years:

What's the model year ?

Those are both beautiful classic trucks, I can't believe you guys still pull that power wagon out to calls.

atvredneck13 01-12-2010 10:03 PM

We sure as hell do rip that thing to any brush calls we get(which is like 1-5 a year).

The dodge is a '66. The antique American La France is a 1922 which only leaves the building for parades and shows and things of that sort.
