Overheating

Been having problem with anti-freeze flowing out of reservoir while driving or if I rev the engine, you can see it flowing out onto engine as it goes back to idle. Eventually it starts to overheat as liquid empties out. I tried replacing thermostat thinking maybe that was the problem, but still got same issue. Anyone have any ideas??? Dont really want to pay an arm and a leg to a mechanic for something I can fix myself. No water mix in oil and no unsual smoke from exhaust.

Could be a thermostat or maybe a head gasket .

someone told me it may be the clutch on the fan. At idle it doesnt overheat. Even after sitting at idle for 15-20 minutes, temperature never goes up. I know when I first got truck fan sometimes makes a unsually loud blowing noise but then quiets down after I rev engine a few times. I didnt think nothing of it, until a co-worker mentioned it. I dont think its a head gasket, under pressure there are no leaks, even around water pump
