Tire size question
Buying 24 X 9.5 inch wheels. what size tires do i get? i dont want them to be too low of a profile. the guy who i bought the wheels from recommended a 315/35/24. i kinda think it might be too big. i dont want to look like i have off road tires either. im doing this transaction over the phone (amazing deal, by the way) so i have nothing to look at. my truck is lowered 2/3, if that helps. i would love to see a pic of this size wheel and tire if one was out there.
for those wondering what i got,.... 24" KMC "Slide"
I'd recommend 285/45/22, they are low profile but they fit quite nicely. Checked out Tirerack and they say the same size. If you've got a 2/3 drop then I'd recommend the low pros or you'll run into rubbing issues on the inner fender unless you've had them rolled in.
so a 305/35 definitely wont work, huh??
google tire size calculator, there are several good ones. Put in your current tire size, and then chose 24" and it'll spit out a close match. If you dont want a lower profile tire, why 24"....Was your OEM size 275/60-20? If so a plus 4 would be a 285/40-24
