Let Us Pray

FIRST OFF, I am not saying this is the correction as of now, I am going till 1/8th of a tank before I truly say that it is solved.

I do however believe I have corrected this problem.

Today in the morning the truck was sputtering and dying on the way to school. After school was the same damn deal. Going up the speed bump on my driveway meant I had to let off and it died Lol. So... I've always been wondering... That damned Jet Chip. I called JetChips customer service. Spoke to the biggest MORON ever. I said "I have a 1998 Dodge Ram and I currently use your product. I was wondering what the symptoms may be if your product malfunctions?"

The man replied "Well... uhh... It would mess up the truck"

Oh my gosh, your KIDDING?!

I waited for another reason, and he said, "Yeah thats about it"

I told him to have a good day and hung up.

I proceeded to grab a socket set and pull off my computer. I've been trying for ages to get the darn chip out. I figured I'd go to town and do it the right way. I saw that there is 2 clips attatched to the computer and realized that they were not tabs like a normal plug should have... instead you had to pry them apart. Alright.

Once I removed the chip I proceeded to use the air compressor to blow out all the terminals and free any dust of sort. I plugged them all back in and bolted the computer back up. I turned the key and it sung to me. No sputtering.

I went on a 60 mile drive. I tried and TRIED to kill it. Pushing the gas then dropping my foot off of it waiting for the rpms to plummet but they didn't.

I believe that the chip has met its demise. I do NOT recommend jetchips to anybody. SuperChips all the way for you 5.9 guys!

Good to hear Alex! Hope this solves the problem for you and restores you faith in that beast. Good luck with the test

I'm keepin my fingers crossed. I don't want to call it too early cause last time I did that it bit me in the ass.

I've got more than my fingers crossed Alex. I want you to keep enjoying that SS/T to its fullest potential. Let us know if everything keeps on the level.

If that fixes it, you can take a hammer to the chip and send them the remains!

Man I sure hope that fixed it. Hated to hear that the SS/T might have gone away. It sounds like that was the problem. Never really heard good things about their products... this is just more proof.

If all is well will there be an "office space" type episode with the chip?

It was not the problem. It happened last night. However to solve it, I removed the negative battery cable and it goes away for a bit. But will soon come back.
