Did you check the fuses? Looks can be deceiving, the switch could still be bad. Do the parking lights or dash lights come on?

yes the parking and dash lights come on, just no headlights

the headlights work when i plug in my daytime running lights but my daytime running lights are unplug beause there is something going on with relay box on the wheel wall. when i plug the daytime running lights they stay on when the truck is off and the high beam light is on the dash

Check the 40A fuse under the hood. If it's good, grab a test light or meter and check for power on the RD/LG wire on the back of the switch and if you have power there, check the LG wire. If there's no power on it then your switch is bad. If you have power on both of those you'll need to go into the steering column and check the dimmer switch. Either the VY/WT or RD/OR should have power(depending on which beams are selected), if not the dimmer has a problem. Finally, you'll need to check for power and ground at the bulbs themselves but it's pretty unlikely the problem is there.
