Sport hood functional scoops

Hey don't know if you guys have seen these scoops for sale to change the challenger/ram sport hood to functional scoops. The dealer I bought my mopar cai is selling them on ebay. Here are some pics.

What I'm wondering is, since it doesn't have a sealed route to the cai, would it make any difference? I guess it would lower air temperature in the engine bay. Anything else?

I've seen some Charger kits that include an underhood plenum that mates up to a foam collar on the Airaid systems.

Cooling the engine bay is beneficial. I see no provision here to introduce cold air into the engine itself, though.

Yeah, I don't see anthing that would hook into the stock air box or a CAI, so all you'd be getting is lower engine bay temps.

Looks like they will just blow air into the engine bay. Well if your running a big setup and need to run as cool as possible then they might be good.

Or you can hook em up to your brakes. Connect them with a house to the rotor / caliper to keep em cool. If your running on a track that would be good haha
