2002 ram vibration

Hi, Im new here. I'm having a problem with my 02 ram with the 4.7. When it hits 70-75 i get a bad viberation other than that the truck drives smooth. I checked under the truck and pulled on the drive shaft and checked the transfer case and everything looks nice and tight. I was wondering if it could just be tires out of balance or maybe allignment. I have aftermarket 17in wheels on it. Any suggestions would be a huge help.

Thanks

I would suggest maybe looking at the weights on your tires, maybe its not balanced. Could be a hub as well. Balance the wheels first at least it will rule one thing out

I would agree with Scat. Is your truck 2 or 4 wheel. I had bad vibration last winter on the car. Turned out to be crap from the road stuck on the rim making it out of balance.

Yep I was going to say that as well, thanks Bones!

Also I brought my truck in today because it was making some serious vibs, when I engaged the 4x4. I had to replace my front drive shaft. dont know if that will help at all

Yah..Scat. Its amazing what some road crap can do. took the rim and tire off , cleaned them up with a wire brush and bingo no more vibration. If you take it to a shop who knows what they could say??????????????????????

Especially if you go off roading or in a lot of snow. Easy for stuff to build up in there

Start with wheel balance .

it might be the wheel hub
