Heating problem

Hey guys
got another one for ya
when pulling a trailer (5x8 utility), even an empty one, my heater guage slowly starts to climb. when I'm doing 130 kmh in OD it will climb to about the 7/8 mark on the guage. same thing will happen if i'm not in OD but doing around 120KMh.
The only speed where my guage was untouched when pulling a full trailer was no OD and no more than 110KMH, it has also happened to me once when driving home on a very hot day last summer, I was doing 130km without a trailer in OD and the guage climbs to about 3/4-7/8 positionon the guage, almost to the full mark.
I've changed the T stat and nothing, not sure if I should go with an engine flush, change the rad or the pump.
any ideas

Try flushing the radiator first. If that doesn't work, you'll likely need to replace it. If it were a pump problem, it should get hotter than normal even when you're not towing.

I'll give that a try, always best to try the easiest and cheapest frist, hopefully that cures the problem.

Just make sure it gets a good flush, not just a fluid swap. Also, try to fill out your UserCP so we can have a reference to year/trim/engine so we can answer any questions faster.

Was it a 180* tstat, or 195?

hope you get it worked out

The t-stat came right from Dodge, they told me that they only carry one stat for that year of truck, I beleive it's a 180degree, they don't offer any other heat ranges for it

Good luck with the flush. Hope that cures the problem.
