mpg question

Should I be getting better than 14 mpg at 75 mph?

It all depends on what mods you have (bigger tires, etc.) and your driving style. At that speed, the MPGs aren't too good.

A new exhaust will help, just in very small amounts. Did you go by the overhead console or did you calculate it by hand?

i know that thing lies, but i am afraid to know the real truth. I have heard that mpg increases as total miles increase on the hemi. any truth to that?

The overhead console is not always wrong, but it can be. It just requires you to reset it everytime you reach a certain speed.

Mega cabs don't do real great . I don't think you have MDS , do ya ?

wester399 03-12-2010 10:18 PM

well thats about 120 km an hour and in my 06 with cruise on i get about 18 mpg at 100 so 14 at 120 sounds about right.

wester399 03-12-2010 10:19 PM

and you do have to reset the computer.. if your rockin down the highway at 75 mph hit reset and it will calulate a more accurate mpg. but that does sound about right for that speed.
