Replacing oh crap handles

ok. what are the handles called in the truck that you grab when you are gettin in? its the ones up by the top of the door. i dont know what they are called. but anyways. does anyone know where i can find replacement panel because i was gettin in my truck the other day and i grabbed it, and completely broke it. the screw on the inside of it came completely through and broke it. please give me any help. i use that to get in every single time.

They are the A piller. I do not know what the exact name of the handle is. I just know that is the A piller with the handle on it.

I think it is time to put an Auto Meter gauge piller in haha. Thats what I have in. Get a couple gauges in there and you have a very cool look hapening.

I believe the are actually called the 'entry assist handles' but that just the polite term for 'help getting fat asses in handle' no offence, just having a laugh. If you pulled the screw out as well, you need to get the threaded insert for the A-pillar frame and a new cover. They're about $100 from a dealership up here, but junk yard may have them for less.

They're called "Jesus" handles by my passengers...:smiley_thumbs_up:

Yep my uncle's went through 3 or 4 of those things and my other buddies on his 2nd one. They aren't very sturdy and that's why i don't really use mine and if I do it's more for leverage while I jump up into my truck but I usually use the steering wheel for leverage but I'm not really putting much weight on either one of them most of the weight is going to the ground from me jumping lol.

yea dude. i usually pull myself in with it. i think im gonnna have to replace it and not use it as much as i did. i mean i used for 7 years like that and its just now breaking. so thats not bad in my book.

The passenger side broke in my truck and I refused to pay for a new one. A side affect of being a fabricator I fixed it myself.
