A/C does not blow much air

I have a 1983 Dodge Ramcharger and my A/C does not blow much air. I have it on high and it feels like it's on low. I recharged my A/C but it still does not blow hard....or hard enough to cool down those who sit up front let alone the back seat. What do I need to do to fix or what should I do to increase the flow of air so my family and I can keep cool during the summer months here in Texas?

Dues the air move when you change the air flow from top bottom(defrost to floor) if not itís probably the actuator. If the air dues move thin itís probably the fan (the motor is not working or the fan itself has come off the motor shaft)

Are you on fresh air intake or recirc? If it does it on either setting, remove the blower motor and check for any obstructions.

Thank you for the info I shall look into it right away.

Ya :iagree:even with the grill over the intake it is possible to get trash in the air ducked.

I have a 2004 Ram that the air flow has diminished bigtime.
It sounds like there is some paper or something somewhere blocking the air path. I'm gonna pull my blower motor and see if there is something in it.

You know that sound that paper makes when you hold it tight in the wind?
That fluttering noise? That's what I'm hearing.

Clogged cabin air filter maybe?

I have a similar problem with my '03. The AC blows great for about 20 minutes and then the air flow diminishes. I increase the fan speed but the flow continues to diminish to the point that there is hardly any air flow at full fan speed. I was interested in the comment about the cab filter, perhaps mine is freezing up or something. Can somebody describe if that is possible and where the filter can be found?

If you have a cabin air filter, it is located behind the glove box. There is a rectangular door that unsnaps and the filter slides out. Not all trucks/cars have them.
