I'm looking in to getting a K&N CAI and a Transdapt TBS, but I heard a rumor that fitting both won't work because the CAI sticks up too high and gets smooshed by the hood. 1999 1500 with the 318. Anyone have any input?

Just leave the throttle body spacer off. With the kegger style intake on our trucks they do not do anything.

yeah , i have heard that the tbs , for the price of them vs what they do for your engine, save your money

Agreed. If you want to throw away money, send some to me!

I had a 1999 Ram 318. Do a CAI, and a new Throttle body. Those trucks were sluggs, but the new intake and throttle body really wakes them up a bit. Also Superchips programmer helped my old truck as well. I would look into them. The TBS are pointless, and they don't work unless you have a fully built motor. Thanks Andrew. H

Like everyone else, you won't get any benefit from a TBS... unless you're planning a plate injected nitrous system

Thanks for the input guys, and sorry it took so long to reply. Life kinda attacked. The Superchips is another thing I'm looking in to. Work's got it on sale until the end of May for $415 CDN. Any opinions on them?

Hey Viper, I can get a Superchips Flashpaq for you. If you would like to PM me with your address I will get you a shipping quote and we can go from there.
