Dropping the rear

What do I need to drop the rear to match my front I think 2 inches..Also will it change the way it rides stock if i do that???

You'll want to look at some drop shackles. I think Chithead is lowering the rear of his truck, maybe some other folks can give you some better insight

drop shackles????Not blocks???

chithead 05-03-2010 11:47 AM

Yessiree bob! The leaf springs is placed on top of our axles so blocks would lift the rear instead of dropping it.

My shackles arrived today actually, can't wait to get those puppies on there!

Do shackles change the comfort???Will I have wheel hop by installing them??

chithead 05-03-2010 01:21 PM

I am under the impression ride quality isn't sacrificed since the meat and potatoes of the suspension is still factory.

:smileup:I put on a rear flip at 5 inches.......Ride is still pretty good. Im sure with a 2 inch drop you should be just fine.
