Do you remember when they filled your tank?

What do you think....Pay 48K for a Laramie 2500 and during the test drive the machine is on fumes....love it...buy it....they put 5.2 gallons of gas in the beast before you drive it home....call it an option....OK fine...take the truck and stop at first gas station going home....Get home and wash the truck...as
I wash the front tire I see a big "smiley face" in the front left tire...ask for a new tire....the dealership says tuff turds.....you must have hit something....I say it has 100 miles on it and hit nothing......too bad.....(Gladstone, OR)
Yes.....looked on my window sticker...5.2 gallons is on option.

Dealership tried something similar with my dad when he bought his 06 Bighorn. He had traded his F250 and took new dodge back for some issues. They said tough stuff, he said yeah it is so give me my truck back and here's your keys. They said you can't do that, he said I know the law and I have 10 days give me my truck! They took care of all issues AND detailed it to boot!

Talk about crummy customer service. 5.2 gallons is an "option?" They only sprayed the car down when we bought the '07 Jeep, but we got a full tank of gas. Same when I bought my truck, I spent most of the morning on the phone with the dealership ironing the last few things out, and they didn't even call me to come pick it up until they had "detailed" it (I still came home and cleaned it up haha) and filled it up with gas. For the money you put on the table, I think they could handle a tank of fuel! After all, who doesn't go and blow that first tank anyway???

Town & Country dealership? If so, I've heard bad things about those guys.

My dealership out here in Hillsburrito is fantastic to deal with.

not t and c....Mr. T....code YG2A...5.2 additional gallons of gas...better go check my oil!

Wow. Can not believe how cheap and nasty some of these dealerships are. Can say when I got my Ram they took the time to detail it and gave me a full tank of gas.

For me not even an issue, the salesman gave me a voucher for gas and told me to take it and fill it up on us. Truck was also detailed.

Honestly, I'd tell them to shove it if that's how they're willing to treat you. Anytime I bought a vehicle one of my stipulations has always been a full tank, so that 5.2 gallons is absolute B.S.

Also, if you have a bumper to bumper warranty, then a tire repair falls into that category.

biguns 05-17-2010 12:59 AM

trust me the bumper to bumper does not cover your tires once you drive it off the lot...the dumb gas issue was after the headache was over....as I told them...I would have paid for the full tank of gas....Just an insult!
They did give me the number for bf goodrich....thanks...

Just got my Ram two months ago, and it came with a full tank of gas...
