'03 interior question, Reg Cab

Is there a cover/door for this bin, and what if anything is this indention for?

I have been scouring the web for pics but nothing so far.

To be honest I have never seen that kinda bin in the back before. I know my truck has the holes under the seats. There is a steel cover that is on top of them and it folds out to put tools on or whatever. I took em out so I do not have any pics

I haven't seen that before either. Wow.

I think that was added in. You can see how it is really close to the front seats. Dodge I do not think would have made it like that, you cant put your feet down in the back seats.

So is this an aftermarket bin put in??? It looks like a carpenter or a trades man used that for all their tools

I forgot to say that the indentation is probably from the steel cover that comes with the Ram stock. The guy before you probably took it out to put that one in

I built a sub box for a guy a few years ago, and his truck had that same bin. His was a 2004 Ram 1500 SWB, no power windows, no carpet, and had the 4.7. The bin was removed and discarded for the sub box.

all regular cabs have that bin. Mine does, my dads 2003 does. To be honest, I've never seen one without it.

But, I have no idea what the indentation is for.

That indent is for a tool box. Dodge sells it. Only seen one guy with it. Its number 16. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...16&catalogid=2
