Muffler Delete Pipe

Hey guys, Ive been bored lately and decided I want to delete the stock muffler on my truck until I get around to doing my exhaust. The muffler is held on by two U-clamps so I think it'll be easy to get off if I can get through the corrosion on there. My question is does a pipe exist to go from the 2.5in pipe to the 3.5in out back?

I suppose this is a sign I need to just go for exhaust...

Thanks

any muffler shop can make any pipe size that you would want
smaller at one end, larger on the other, they can make them slotted for use with clamps, or just expanded for welding

they may or may not install it for you, depending on the shop & their legal compliance

diesels owners delete mufflers all the time, not so much gasoline owners

many auto parts stores have adaptors to go from one size to another, but, they usually are straight pieces, no bends

Thanks GT. Thats good to know. My plan yesterday was to just pull everything back of the muffler. Gotta get the muffler unstuck now

I agree with GT...it will be easier, cheaper and quicker to just visit your local exhaust shop if you want to do this.

Thanks guys, I decided to just save up and spring for the whole setup. Some true duals are in the cards. Just have to decide on a muffler setup...

Anyway, thanks for the advice guys.
