Disassembling the dash

Has anyone out there attempted to disassemble their dash?…particularly the silver colored bars that outline the center of the dash and floor mounted shifter. I’m thinking about doing a little mod to that area and was wondering how much work it is to pop those off…if at all possible. :4-dontknow:
Thanks!

I had to get a service manual (around $10 and available online in .pdf format on a CD) to be able to understand how this all comes apart and goes back together.

I also got a set of plastic panel tools (cheap and very helpful) which helped immensely.

Get a manual. They are essential to being able to do stuff like this.
