Before and After TB cleaning...

Today I replaced the PCV valve with another Dodge PCV. I was not sure if a PCV from O'Reilly Auto Parts could be trusted? I also cleaned the TB which was in dire need of cleaning! I took it out for a short 2 mile jaunt and throttle response is better, but no more power difference. The truck also idles better, but it did not have an idling issue before hand. It just seems to feel and hear smoother. By the way I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi Sport QC 4x4. I'm the second owner and just hit 90,000 miles and doing all required preventative maintenance this summer.

I hope nothing is adversely affected. You're supposed to use brake parts cleaner and not throttle body or carb cleaner because it could work its way into the electronics and potentially them.

Why would they call it throttle body cleaner? :wow:
Sure hope nothing happens.

Oh, it's made for throttle bodies - mechanical ones. Yours is electronic.
