2005 Dodge Ram 1500 blower?

I have a 05 dodge ram 1500. Not sure if it's just the way dodge designed inside the cab blower to put out a certain amount of air. but whenever I put my fan dial on maximum ,4th setting, it just seems that the fan isn't forcing out enough air at that setting. At the max air setting, I would imagine the air blowing out the vents would be very very strong, but it only feels like setting #2 instead of setting #4.
Have you experienced this with your fan / blowers, so you think it might be the blower going out ?
lOoking for suggestions or experiences with this?

Thanks alot!

I have the same issue. I thought maybe the door that switches it from floor to dash wasn't opening it all the way but I have several friends with 03-07 Rams and thiers are exactly the same. I guess it's just the design.

04RAM: Thanks for the reply. Makes me feel a little better in that knowing others are experiencing the same thing. I guess replacing the blower wouldn't make a difference. Just wasted money perhaps.

Have you checked your mode/recirc door operation?

Randy: Can you explain what I would need to look at to see about this?

The easiest way would be to make sure that the mode door is working is to make sure that when you select the dash vents you get no air from the floor or defrost. When you select floor only, you only get air from there and so forth. As for the recirc door, you need to pull the glovebox down and look to see of the the door appears to be broken. Cycle your system from fresh air to recirc a couple of times to make sure it's working properly.

I have this problem as well on my 02 ram 1500. RamTech can you be more specific on where to look for this door. Just open the glove box? or remove parts of the dash?
Thanks
