Rear door Quad cab....

I have a 2010 Quad Cab 4x4 SLT Big Horn addition RAM. I have noticed the rear driver side door has like a catch to it when I open it. It makes a sound like it is not being fully released. It is only that door. Anyone else notice this issue?

Check to make sure your striker plate, on the door frame, is aligned properly. Also check your hinges and give them some lube.

Hey, my QC does this exact same thing! It's not a major issue, what causes the noise is not the striker, it is the outtermost door seal. If you watch it closely, it get's slightly stuck on the C-pillar when you open the door. If you open it more quickly, you'll notice a louder pop, as the seal slaps back into place against the door.

You could fix it a couple of different ways.

1: Re-shim the door so that it doesn't close quite as much.

2: Trim the weather stripping very slightly.

3 & MOST EASILY!: Put some silicone lube on the seal. No only will it help the seal last longer, it will keep it from sticking to the C-pillar and then slapping against the door.

Good luck!
