new owner?

Hi - i am looking at buying a 2006 ram 2500 4x4 with a cummings engine. it has 70k miles on it one owner. price 24800.

some questions for you guys-

would you buy another 2500 ram?

i have seen some posts regarding weak ball joints and u joints, can anyone here comment on this?

also have seen posts about a/c problems - can anyone comment on this?

i will have a certified cummings mech. inspect the truck prior to purchase.

my 2nd choice would be an 07 tundra 4x4- has anyone here had one or rather have one?

added:

this is a Larime edition long bed -

thanks for any feedback - please include how many miles you have on your truck i am curious as to the durability of it.

I noticed this is your first post, so let me welcome you aboard the ForumZ. Now, about your questions:

I have an 08' 2500 6.7l Cummins. I haven't made 70,000 yet (sitting at 26,xxx). I haven't had any A/C problems. U Joints might be an issue for me, but my lift wasn't done the best and most professional of ways, thus putting pressure on my driveshaft and ujoints. This is my first 2500 6.7, so I can't confirm or deny any of the other issues like the ones you've mentioned. As far as it being a long bed, the only thing I have noticed in ANY 8"+ bed is that it has a tendency to bounce. Things may have changed as the last time I drove one was in 06 or 07. I hope this helped at least a little. Best of luck, stick around and someone will chime in with more advice and keep us posted! Thanks.

Good questions, and while I have not had a 2500.....yet, lol, I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice from others here, but wanted to welcome you to the forum and good luck on finding your truck! :)
