My friend has a 2006 5.9 cummins. He heard that there is an adjustment that can be made to the stock turbo. Told him I would post the question and let him know what I found out. Any info would be great.
I don't think the stock turbo is a bottleneck, because there is a lot of power to be made with it, there may be a better vane that you can install. A twin turbo set up will give optimum performance, but be expensive. A little water methanol injection will help a small turbo work great and nitrous will kick a big turbo in the azz to make it spool faster.
