bad 60 foot but new track mod made up the difference

That's a pretty crappy DA number. Makes the ET look even better though!

on that bee?

carrayz 08-03-2010 01:18 AM

very nice run! better da and you got me beat..

txhemi 08-03-2010 06:58 PM

May be a stupid question, but what is da?

RamTech 08-03-2010 07:09 PM

Density Altitude - it's calculated using weather conditions such as temp, humidity, baro, and actual altitude above sea level. Density Altitude plays a big role in how a vehicle runs. A truck that runs great near sea level (100 feet for example) will slow considerably with a higher density altitude like you'd find at Bandimere speedway (over 5000 feet).

what track did you run at badbee? also, what day and about what time? we can use an online calculator and figure what your run would be in perfect da..

txhemi 08-04-2010 08:39 AM

Thanks Randy. I knew weather conditions affect how a vehicles runs, I just never heard "da".

chefred112 08-04-2010 09:12 AM

..da is a common term we use that lets us know whether we'll have a good day at the track or not...we use da calculators to 'level' the playing field and estimate how we would compare to each other in 'like' conditions. My local tracks are usually close to sea level and negative da during the cooler months which is ideal for drag racing.
