new truck at 50 miles and wont start

So I picked up my brand new 2010 loaded laramie with remote start on saturday. On sunday morning I tried to start it with the remote start x3 and it wouldn't start, so I put the key in and still didnt start after trying for 30 min. Battery was fine. Called the tow truck to come and said it would take 3 hrs so i left it there for the day(parking garage at work). Came back the next morning and started up just fine. Any thoughts? I was really frustrated on saturday morning!

Would the starter even crank the motor over ? If not , if theres a next time , put the trans in neutral and see if it cranks up then .

sounds like it could be a malfunction with the remote start system. Next time the remote start doesn't work, press the brake pedal before trying to start it manually. This should disengage the remote start.

The brake pedal and remember to start it with the remote the truck has to be locked

WIN module problem perhaps. The dealer needs to check it out.

Same thing happens to mine. If I use the remote starter to start it more than once in a row. When I get in I can crank it all day and she won't start. The engine will crank till it times out and gives an error message on the EVIC. To solve this problem, I have to lock the doors and then then unlock with the remote, then open the door and then close the door (while you are inside the truck). Put the key back in and crank it over and she will start. I told this to a dealer and they half laughed at me. This has happened to me at least a dozen times and my little fix works every time.
In the meantime the dealer reflashed the computer to see if that would solve the problem, I guess they were humoring me. I could not repeat the problem for the dealer because it is or was a very intermittent problem.
I guess I will find out this winter if the problem is solved.

The truck does NOT have to be locked and the windows can be down. The remote start locks it on its own if it is unlocked

Sounds like you somehow put the pcm/ecm(whatever dodge calls it) into a security mode. By letting it set for more than 45 mins the system reset thus allowing you to start it.

Just FYI if you have a check engine light on your remote start will not work, its a feature built in to the system

Just came from the dealer and they said it was a busted wireless ignition system and would take 3-5 days to get me a new one. They gave me a V6 grand cherokee in the meantime:shakehead:

This doesn't work on the DS truck you can push the brake pedal all day and it wont disengage the remote start...

3-5 days to get a WIN module? Yikes.
