Put on new positive battery terminal

Just put on my rockford fosgate battery terminal only to find it doesnt sit flush or cover the whole terminal post.(see picture)
All my accsessories work and when running the battery charge gauge goes up so i know its receceiving charge. I was just wondering if this will present any problems in the future.

Get a terminal shaper and it will cut the terminal diameter down where it will fit better.

Sweet but leaving it like it is for the time being wont hurt eh?

Have you got the terminal bolt loose and have you tried to spread it?

You may have to shave the interior of the hole to get it to sit flush.

It sits on tightly the problem is the hole is not deep enough ,,, the terminal post is too long. Glad i switched it tho my stock one was very very corroded.

So the lug is capped and the terminal won't pass through the top?

ya i just found out it has a trim ring inside so if i remove that it should be all good lol.

Oh, ok. That ring is meant for the negative terminal which is smaller in diameter.

problem solved guys .....it was a bigg DUHHHHHHH on my part lol but its all good now sits flush....im eventually thinking of adding a bigger alternator and a 1/0 gauge charge wire.

1/0 is a waste of money. Even large vehicles with high electrical demands (i.e. fire trucks, ambulances) don't typically run anything bigger than 2 gauge because it simply isn't needed.
