I think the truck needs only a few things to get that mustang.

next plans are ls6 manifold, circle D 2800 stall, 4.56 gears, ls6 cam, with 243 casting cylinder heads milled .010 and hand ported.

no matter how fast it is...you put a Chevy engine in a Dodge. That just flat out breaks my heart.

But...nice work regardless of how depressing it is to see.

I personally would have just put a cam in the 440, plopped a set of flat top pistons in it, decked the block, threw a set of Edelbrock Alum heads on it that were shaved and mildly ported....and plopped it in. That basic combo is good for roughly 550hp/550tq. More then enough to move that truck. Oh...and the cam guy told me that combo is probably closer to 650/650.

But...thats just me.

I know, the 440 def. needed a cam, but that would have most likey brought my mpgs from 9 to 8 or less. I'm now getting 18 on the highway, and the truck is 520lbs lighter then it was before.

meh...once your at 9mpg, whats 8, 7 even. Hell...why not gallons per mile...haha.

Not trying to knock you too hard, man. Its a lot of work and to make it actually happen is quite a feat.

Not my cup of tea...but, I respect all the work regardless, so, good job.

Now, if that truck was instead, a 71 Cuda, 68 Charger, or some other muscle car...well then, that'd be a different story...lol
