Any mtc required for timing chain?

Hey guys -

I found no reference to timing belt maintenance in my manual, so I'm working off the assumption that the 5.7 has a timing chain, correct?

If so, any mtc required?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the bump! I'm going to assume no mtc on this -

This would be a welcome relief, having dealt with timing belts on my last two vehicles.

I'm not really sure, but RamTech would be able to chime in on this. :)

According to the engine layout on allpar, it has a timing chain. Probably no need to replace at a specific mileage (and won't leave you stranded either).

Theres a timing chain in it . Should be good for well over 100,000 miles . No maintenance required other than routine oil changes .

Tom - just curious - are these 5.7 engines interference or non-interference?

I'm assuming it's the former.

Oh well, my last vehicle jumped timing on me. At least when chains go bad, they give you some warning (like a bad tapping, etc).

Thanks!
