Has anyone seen this I cant find anything about it online is this another special ed. I am not aware of or are these some random badges some guy slapped on they seem to be oem this is really pissing me off lol

I had an 03' that was strictly a cosmetic package that came from the factory. I don't have enough knowledge about the newer "ThunderRoads".

The Thunderroad package was a regional thing. Just like Lonestar, etc...

These were commonly found in states with Nascar tracks..

Ok...ill start off by saying iv done alot of research and asked the same questions on other forums and websites, i even went to a dealership and asked them what the difference was.... and iv gotten a couple of different answers.#1 one of the answers i got was that it was a towing package. that it came with a trailer hitch and all the electronical hookups, 392 gears in the rear, and that the transmition was tweaked just a bit, such as a torque converter that had a clutch in it for better shifts while towing.#2 iv heard that it was a cosmetic package, now theres two ways iv heard this one...one says it was a chrome package, the other was that it was just a four door version of the daytona package, painted front and rear bumper and a painted wind thing on the nose of the hood, they all say that it came with 20" rims and a sliding back window, and others say it was a leather package..Now i own a 05 thunder road and ill tell you what my truck has/ 5.7L Hemi, 20" rims, sliding back window, cloth seats, trailer hitch, 392 gears(wich gives me a better 0_60 time) and painted front and back bumper. But heres the kicker...when i went to the dealership and asked what the thunder road package was, all the salesman just shrugged and said that they didnt know, but they heard it was a riginal thing but they didnt know for sure..Me personally i think its Dodges little secret...i hope this helps you out some. let me know what you think or if you have found any other opinions on it....

I have a 2008 1500 Big Horn "MonsterMile" that was a special edition for the Dover International Speedway. After reading about it online my special edition is supposed to have decals on the side of the truck, embroidered leather seats, a plaque on my dash and cup holder among other things. My truck is your standard Big horn SLT with cloth seats. I bought it used and i didnt buy it for the "Monstermile" name so it doesn't bother me that it doesn't have these things but it did come with a piece of paper in the glove box from the dealership saying it was a monster mile. I think when they were making these trucks they had an extra badge so they threw it on a truck and it ended up outside of my place.

Here is the website that I read about this "mosntermile"
http://www.doverspeedway.com/track/n...=200606&id=593

And this is what I was supposed to have

This package includes chrome side step tubes, unique Monster Mile graphics and emblems, Monster Mile Edition leather seats and a Monster Mile Edition sequence number dash plaque.

The only thunder road I've been in was my buddy's 06 3500, it has 4:10s as 3:92s aren't an HD option and wood grain trim aroun the radio. We have literally parked my friends HDs next to each other, an 06 2500 big horn, an 05 2500 SLT and an 03 3500 SLT, the wood trim was the only difference we could find different other the different shutters in the two 06. They all had sliding windows and cloth seats, they all had the same wheels.
I have also seen big horns on forums with wood trim but all the ones I've seen in person have the aluminum colored trim

Ok I will try to shed a little more light on these trucks. Ok I had an 07 QC that I bought brand new that was a Thunderroad. According to my window sticks the Thunderroad package included 20 inch wheels and tires, silver accents on the doors and around the stereo, 1 yr of Sirius radio, 3.55 gears, tow hitch with 4 and 7 pin trailer connector, front buckets with center console, but my truck had a 4.7l. Here is a pic of mine.

I have an 06 Thunder Road Quad SLT 2wd. Mine has the badge on the doors, wood grain trim, tow package, chrome side steps, tinted windows, sliding rear window, fog lights, 20'' rims (which were replaced with factory 17s), satellite radio, and a bed liner. The color is patriot blue pearlcoat, and the front/rear bumpers are chrome (not painted to match the exterior color)... Also, it's a 4.7L V8 Magnum and not a 5.7L Hemi. I've heard before that it's only for Hemi's. I checked the build sheet, and it is a legit Thunder Road. Originally sold in Georgia... I purchased in Indiana.
