19.5" wheels?
I'm looking to put 19.5" powder coated steel wheels on my truck. I will probably go with Rickson Wheels - Heather (Sales) is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

I just want to know if there are a couple of other manufacturers I should compare to.

I'm not looking for any fancy smancy chrome plated jazz - I'm going to put a big heavy truck camper on the thing so it's all about functionality for me.

If someone can name a couple of other resources I can check out I'll appreciate it.

Thanks, Wes

Have you looked at BUDD wheels, Wes?

I don't know what they have for the lighter duty trucks (they definitely make big rig wheels) but they might be worth a look.

Of course, there are the Dodge HD 4500 19.5" steel wheels to consider.

You've got Rickson covered in your search.

Accuride is another brand to consider. I know they make dually wheels. Not sure about singles but that is another company to consider.

Alcoa (forged aluminum which is very light and VERY strong) and American Force also come to mind.

Good luck with your search and I hope this info is helpful.

they sound fun to find tires for. I have a buddy with 16.5" wheels, and the only tires he can find anymore are used military vehicle tires.

Thanks for the response Michael - I'll do some surfing on the brands you mentioned.

Strang . . . tires won't be a problem. The 19.5" is a standard for which many brands of truck tires are available.

The deal is, I need the stiff sidewall of a steel belted truck tire rather than (normally) polyester side LT (Light Truck) tires. The truck camper I refer to above is real heavy - flexible sidewalls equals fishtailing. I don't need that.

Thanks for the responses.

Best regards, Wes
