chrome body cladding part 2

Well I asked about removing this stuff earlier this summer. I finally got around to working on it today. The stuff is glued on, not put on with double sided tape. So I was trying to heat it with a hair dryer and work it off of the body of the truck. It did heat the cladding pretty well but there was paint coming:158: off sooo I stopped for now. Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

Use fishing line or real strong floss to get the molding off. The use the eraser in this link to get rid of the adhesive.

Sounds like structural adhesive was used vs. tape. That's gonna be a tough one.

Try googling up structural adhesive remover and see if anything pops up you can use.

paint removal? has your truck been in a wreck before? used an epoxy or acrylic to glue pieces back on?

3m adhesive remover and an eraser wheel will make the normal double sided tape come off easy

Yea I know it will take the tape off but this stuff is glued on. And yea it was in a wreck although you would never know it now. I was slowyly and carefully working so as to not go too far and my kid grabs a corner and pulls...I'm like STOP! Man he made me a mess.
