20" Factory tires Not the same as SPECS. ???
I am about to buy tires for my 07 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 20" wheels.
The tires that came on it from factory are Goodyear LS2's 275/55/20
Now on the Door Sticker and at most tire stores both tell me it is suppose to be
Will the 55 make the speed increase or decrease? Will putting the 60 create an issue as well?
Going from a 275/55-20 (31.9") to a 275/60-20 (33.0")when your speedo reads 60 mph you are actually going 62 mph.
55's to 60's
I had 55's till last month when i decided to switch over the 60's. the only difference other than the slight height increase and width decrease with the 60's is that my 55's would grip better tighter turns at higher speeds and less body roll than my 60's would. I would have to slow down more cuz Ill be hearing the tires starting to drift and with that extra slight body roll I was certain I was gonna flip her. Its really up to you and your preference and what the RAM's gonna be used for.Ow well ill probably be getting the 285's after I wear these out to comp for width... not really sure if that'll work or not but thats my opinion.
