6 inch bds lift price

Hey all, I am in the thinking process of lifting my ram. I just called smoke em diesel and they said they could install a lift on my truck (bds 6 inch front and 4 inch block rear) for 3225 plus tax. Does this seem in the ballpark of lifting a truck like this? I am pretty clueless about lifting vehicles and any input would be appreciated thanks! Below is the truck I want to lift.

I don't know much about BDS, but that does seem a little high. I know people rave about BDS and there are many components that can be omitted to save on costs (not that I would). I would research exactly what lift and components they are installing for that price. Get a break down of the lift and labor costs. That's where you will see the difference in cost to profit. Best of luck and keep us posted.

they said the kit would cost $2250 and the installation was approximately $1020 depending how the factory parts are to take off.

My shop gave me a price of $2645 for the BDS lift installed... I currently don't have a lift, but I was curious and that's the price they gave me.

There's a guy in Concord, CA who installs the Performance Accessories 5" body lift/leveling kit combo for $900 plus tax. That's parts and labor.

Ya the kit online is like $1800 or something like that and it takes about 10hrs to install. The install should be like $600 so you should be a lot less than the quoted price.

How do you get good deals on lift kits?

OK first all is that canadian or american currency? lol

The BDS on there website comes out at $1956 this i assume is no tax in american prices, this will also be for shipping, other online websites might offer the kit at a better deal and possible free shipping, i would suggest shop around....buy the kit yourself take it somewhere for install.

As for the labour it says 10 hour install, up here in canada a normal shop rate is around $100 per hour, so for all fairness lets say $1000 bucks for install, again check out local offroad stores some may offer better prices, especially if you purchase the kit from them, all in all i would say under $3000 is deffinitely closer to what you should expect...shop around and get qoutes from a few more places for sure!
