2000 dodge ram 5.2 p1740 TCC Sol (Overdrive Solenoid Performance)
So the other week my check engine light came on. I had a friend read my truck it is came back p1740 tcc sol (Overdrive performence). I've done a little bit of research hoping that I can fix this problem my self. The truck has been shifting a little odd the past week going into overdrive.
My two conclusions are either of the 3
Govenor Pressure Solenoid 2000
Govenor Pressure Sensor 2000
Overdrive and Lockup Solenoid
The other idea is I found for my truck and when it was made there was a TSB. http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2000/21-11-00.htm
Witch says its the transmission pressure boost valve cover plate.
Ever happen to anyone before. Also any help I could sure use, I bought this truck in March 2000 Dodge ram sport 5.2l 2wd 134,000 miles but they were easy miles. I havent had to touch it since I bought it mechanically and I've put 10,000 on it so any advice on how to do it would also be appreciated. Thanks
First thing you need to do regarding the TSB is find out your build date to see if it even applies. TCC solenoid problem aren't uncommon with the 46RE so that's a real possibility too.
