Temp Gauge Problems?

I have a '95 1500 5.2L 5-spd. Recently, I noticed that my temp gauge dos not respond. Sometimes when I turn on the truck, the needle will move up, but never past the 130 mark. But lately it doesn't move at all. Does anyone know how to fix this, or do I just need to get a new gauge?

Could be a gauge, sending unit or wiring. You need to get it diagnosed before throwing parts at it.

Would an OBD-2 be able to tell me the problem?

Get a chiltons and find the sensor/sending unit. Check the wiring back to the gauge. If the wiring and connections are good, replace the sensor/sending unit. Chances of the gauge actually going bad a slim.
