Summit Racing exhaust systems.... fitment problems???

interested in hearing anyones general opinion or expierience with summit's exhaust systems. I just installed the dual exhaust system on my 01 ext cab and it was a pain in the ass and i am not happy with the fitment. i had to trim the midpipe extensivly just to get it haldway decent and the exit pipe on the left side it approx. 4 inches to the left off centered and 1 1/2 lower the the right side.. the right side seems to fit perfect.. ive used their systems in the past on other cars and havent had problems, but this time i am very disapointed in the product.. i have already decided to just take it in to my local exhaust shop and have it all reworked, i am just curious to find out if others have had the same iussues with these systems on these trucks??

Never used one of their systems but most of what Summit sells they do as a reseller. Was it made by someone else?

Good luck with problem. This would be a good time to test Summit's customer service quality.

Went to a local muffle shop I have use 20 plus years here with a flowmaster and they installed duals with oversize piping for about the same price you can get on the internet.
This was from the cat back.....
