Roll Bars on my 2010?

I'm thinking of doing this to my 2010? What do you think? be honest Not sure how much it will weigh me down or cost me in wind resistance mpgs.

I like the design, minus the head lamp mounts. The only thing is the custom fabricator builds it on a strip to rest on the bed ridge screwed on a lip from inside the bed. I was hoping it could just drop into the four column holes and be bolted from insde inside the bed columns upward (see pic below). It's mostly for looks and maybe as a function headache rack whenever I need to haul lumber or a latter... hate the way headache bars look, but this (I feel) adds a bit vintage to a great Ram body and design. This is looking downward into the hole on my ridge.

Well, if ya ask me I think it's a little...Hillbillyish lol. You did say be honest. But if you like it then do it!!

Personally, I don't like it. I prefer the style with the shorter bars coming back from the vertical, if you must have one.

I've always looked at roll bars as being something to either mount lights on or installed to the frame for functional support.

i dont care for that look, sorry

I prefer the sport where the bars are short and stay outside the bed (to allow for a cover)
I like roll bars, just not that one. sorry :/

On a side note.. its your truck. do what YOU think is good and be proud of it.. just because someone doesnt like it doesnt mean you shouldnt.

Good luck.

If ya like it,go for it. Ya ask opinions and you know what they say about em<G> At the end of the day you have to be happy with your ride! But I do think rollbars look better WITH lights on em.

Sports Roll Bar Rollbar S/S bed bars for Dodge?

Back on this thread. I'm still looking to put on Roll bars for my 2010. Just really surprised I can't find any manufacturers for the Dodge.

Without going custom, which I am now considering, Anybody know where I might get rollbars that look like this (installed on the outside of the bed) in the US? I can't find a manufacture that will make a bar that attatches to the lip of the bed this way.

This is a new ford ranger (may not go for sale in the US), but I'd like that look with a roll bar

I've looked at GoRhino and Go Industries and don't want those.

Thanks.

Keep looking! I would imagine you may have to wait a bit more for the aftermarket to catch up...things are slow out there so they are probably not putting too much money into R&D for new products right now.

Got any local fabricators you can work with? that might be faster.

There is a guy 600 miles away, but he only fabs in steel.

Been trying to get it built in aluminum, but can't find anybody to bend 3 inch alumuinum tubing in the curves I need.
