I rode my Harley trike over to my VFW Post in Lakeside California on Saturday the 6th for a cheese burger with all the fixin's
i didn't know it but when i rode into Lindo Lake Park & saw about 50 other bikes there, i thought that they were selling a bunch of burgers, but, it was the
8th Annual USBP Fallen Officers Ride
Presented by US Border Patrol to raise money for a scholarship fund for children of officers killed in the line of duty. Approx. 110-mile poker run followed by high/low hand prizes, raffle for a Harley ($20/ticket), 50/50, food, and more. $25, includes pin (first 300 riders) and dinner, $10/extra poker hand. Sign in 9–11 am. El Cajon Harley-Davidson, 621 El Cajon Blvd. El Cajon, CA
My VFW Post had let them have the Hall upstairs at no charge, they usually get around $300 per event
I looked around for tv news, reporters from any publication & i didn't see any, while i was there i saw more than 300 bikes, some just stopping for a bit & leaving again, others hanging around, so i took a couple quick photos
i didn't take any pix of my trike while i was there, but, i had put on new wheels & tires on the back axle the day before, so i took a pix when i got home
Sucks the media didn't take the time to cover this worthwhile event. Nice wheels on the trike. Thanks for posting the pics. :D
Thanks for the pix GT! I agree with Brian; the media often misses the most worthwhile events, and it's a shame.
I'm liking those rims!
Agreed, that would be worth a spot on the newscast as it's a noble event. Great pics though
