How do I get a little more power out of my 4.7

Hey been a while since I been on here since my computer met with a disasterous end.....any who I digress. I just made the drive from california to south dakota with my 2003 1500. I have the 4.7 with an airaid intake and a super chip programer. It also has a flow master muffler, not to be confused with the full exhaust and has a six in. lift with 35 in toyos. On the drive back it was constantly shifting between OD and D and was woofully under powered. I am going to put a full exhaust under it while I'm home and eliminate one of the three cats it has on it. Do any of you have any suggestions on what else I could do to get a little more power out of it?

Maybe upgrade your gears to 4.56 :4-dontknow:

what dsptywcadet said 4.56 gears, you will love them, and will help your truck out a lot, it wont "hunt" for gears and will also give you back power, you may also look into a ho cam? is your tuner on 91oct tune? if not, setting it to that should give you more juice. or if you want to get serious, a turbo.

With the 35's , I am experiencing the same issue . I have 4.10's and it still seeks when I hit hills . Both comments before me are good advice . Maybe try a pair of long tube headers .
