Intake Manifold
So what companies make after market Intake Manifolds for our 4.7 engines? A better flowing manifold and a bigger throttle body would do wonders for the power of the motor.

That's a good question, I've never heard that anyone does, but if you find one come back and let us know for sure.

Air Ram does :D

yeah, I believe AirRam's is the sulivan "hi-rise" intake manifold. They have some videos of it on you tube that are pretty impressive! That's the only aftermarket manifold I've seen for the 4.7's.

ya but you have to some moding to get it to work and i dont think it is emissions legal

partymn 11-20-2010 04:49 PM

What type of modification are you talking about? I am not to concerned about emissions as much as I am power and torque. I will look into it and let you guys know what I find out.

OK, research is over, the cost to benifit is way off. $1700 for a 20 horse power increase over stock is not that good. For a little more you can ad a supercharger or a turbo and get much more power increase without all of the modifications. I will keep looking for a cheaper alternitive and hopefully find something soon as this truck needs about 50+ more horse power.

The OEM manifold from a 4.7 HO found on Dakotas and Durangos is supposed to be a small upgrade in performance. A little more flow I guess. It would only be an upgrade on the Pre 2007 engine, as the newer one is already got something different I suspect. Do a google and you'll see what I mean.

(4.7L) PowerTech V8 235hp
2002 Dodge Ram 4.7L with Sullivan Single Plane intake manifold was being put together by someone in here back in October 2009 to run on the 1/8 mile
here is the thread

your best bet would be to remove the stock1 and have it ported out, much nmore cost effective
