will diablo tuners void your warrenty if something goes wrong with the truck

Yes, if it can be proven by the dealership that you have a tuner on your truck. Anything that alters the computer factory settings on your vehicle will void your warranty.

If I understand things right... If you have returned your truck to the stock tune before taking it in to the dealer, the dealer would have to be actively looking for evidence of a tuner in order to tell if you had used one or not. They probably won't be looking to see if you have used a tuner unless there is some sort of problem with the truck that they suspect was caused by a tuner. Under most circumstances, you'll probably be fine as long as you return the truck to the stock tune prior to taking it to the dealer for service.

*note all of the "probably"s in there- I'm not disagreeing with icOVERu, just offering an opinion on the probability of running in to an issue

It's always a safe bet to download your stock tune back to the vehicle before having service performed. I agree with Dan, they'd have to be looking or have a reason to query the PCM to find the tuner.

Problem is, if they scan the PCM you may end up with a fault (conflict between scan tool and current program) which scrambles your PCM, renders it useless and you may not be able to reload your stock program. Not a good thing to have happen.

Regarding the warranty issue, it's not cut and dried. If you experience a component failure, and it can be directly attributed to your modification (say having installed a tuner), they are not obligated to warrant the failed item. However, they cannot blanket void your whole warranty just because you have modified the vehicle.
