Dynomax VT

Has anyone had any experience or heard anything about the Dynomax VT muffler?

I currently have a Flowmaster 44 (S-in/D-out) on my 04 Hemi and it drove me crazy on a recent trip from Atlanta to Mississippi. Riding at 75mph for 700+ miles my head started to hurt because of the drone in the cab. I'd really like to get something that eliminates the drone during cruising but still has the ability to be loud and aggressive thus why the Dynomax VT sounds like a great idea. My other option would be going with something for daily driving with a cut-out and I have no idea what I would use for that.

Any opinions?

I haven't used them but I read an artical in a mustang magazine where they did a pair of them on an 05-09 GT. They said that at cruise on the freeway they had to keep looking at the gauges to make sure the thing was still running. I am sure they were overstating things but from what I understand they are nice at cruise.

I do know that some of the first ones out had issues with the valve in them rattling a little but I think that has been fixed.

I use a raceland e-cutout its awesome other than it leaks just a bit at WOT but that is unavoidable. I have a 24in magnaflow to keep my very loud exhaust at bay when the cutout is closed. The muffler and the cutout run at about 250$ + what ever installation would cost you. I would est install at around 130$ to 150$ depending on the mufflershop.

I looked at the VT as well, would take some work to put in. The stock muffler is dual outs, and the VT has single in out and they are offset. If it was centered it would be pretty easy. Great if you have the stock single exit.

so will the vt work on an 08 single factory exhaust. im not sure if the stock muffler is offset. im gonna buy one if it will work.

Jegs even throws in 2 stainless band clamps free with the order.

It will have to be exhaust shop work. The single would be a lot easier. All the VT mufflers are single in/out. They have offset in and either center out or opposite side out

So the pic that you have would work on my 2008. if the factory exhaust is offset also then the exhaust shop would just have to make an extension pipe to hook it up. kinda like mufflex does with the magnaflow.

Dynomax claims this muffler to be drone free. that would be awesome. I think this will work. I just dont want to go outside and climb under the truck right now. its full of snow. lol
