well my tranny is in need of a flush and im thinking since it will be at the tranny shop that i might add a shift kit.
Do they even make one for it?
and i was looking at the electric line pressure booster on air ram can i add this to a stock tranny or do i need to beef it up to do this?
Or are there any other mods? I want firmer shifts because it feels like it takes awhile to shift. And i plan on adding a programmer soon and i know that adjust shift points
oh and i have a 2005 1500 quadcab and 3:55 gears
also now im running a 7 inch lift and 35s and havent done my gears yet so what gear ratio should i run im about 50 50 on city and highway my drive to work is all canyon thats pretty flat and with my gearing now im getting anywhere from 11 to 14 mpg.
Just seems like once it gets about 2000 rpm it drops to 9 mpg
Trango shift kit for a 45rfe which is the same as a 545rfe. And instead of using the the resistor that comes with the kit use the sonnax line booster.
As for gears, go with 4.56 gears. My friend gets 13-14 mpg with his lift and tires. But he also has a superchips 3865.
cool thanks and i was looking at the line booster on airram
but i wanta get the tranny done, gearing done, chip, true flow intake, and y pipe upgrade hopefully it gets me better mpg
