induction service

Induction service at dodge dealership.Worth the hundred bucks? Do they remove and clean the throttlebody? 2008 ram 1500 hemi 50000kms on it
I bought it with 36000kms ,so I doubt throttlebodys ever been cleaned.

I've never had the dealer do this for me so I am not sure if the TB gets cleaned or not. Did you ask?

I just do my own. It's easy to do except for having to use the step ladder I need to get up and into the engine compartment. :D

Yeah, the induction should include cleaning the throttle body but I seriously doubt they'll remove it to do the cleaning. I do it that way because I think it's quicker but it's not necessary.

yes they clean the throttle body but they do not take it off, we have a presurized fuel sprayer that sprays down into the throutle body nd cleans it that way while ur truck is running, and it depends if u get the three part system or not if u get the three part, they will take the same tool and take out the fuse for ur fuel relay and run the truck on the fuel injector cleaner that greatly helps ur truck out. i went from getting 8 mpg to 13 by doing this service at my work to my truck. works wonders

I just had a TOP END clean done on my '09
had a Dyno shop do it, along with a rear end & transmission filter change 2 filters, clean & flush
I now have Royal Purple fluids in both

Now i am just waiting to do a 400 mile job, to see if it made a difference

GTYankee, did you notice any difference after the Top End cleaning?
Dealer wants me to bring my truck in for the TB, Top End, Tranny, Rear End and a few other things..
