looking at a V10

I am looking at an 03 3500 quad cab with a V10 automatic. I would be pulling a 28' tag trailer weighing about 12K. Would this be a good choice?

Thanks

It's close to the towing capacity for the V10. If that's your regular towing weight, I'd look for a Cummins powered 3500 dually.

You'd think a V10 would have more stuff. I hear the 8.1 Chevy V8 works pretty well.

its fuel economy that hes worried about. and thats true. with a v10 and towing that much, you will get horrible mpg. a Cummins has more power to the point to move. true that the v10 has more hp and tq then the 03 Cummins, but shit for mpg

12k no problem. IMHO
If you want to stay gasser that's as good of a choice as any.

8.1 is a P.O.S

I'd take any v10, dodge or ford over that junk

An 03 3500 V10...that's a rare beast. Wouldn't have any problem towing, just, as stated, your mileage would be shit.
