CB / CB Antenna Mount for my 2010
4 Attachment(s)
Just started to work on the mount for my CB Antenna. The mount fits under the front of the bedliner lip, which goes over the front of the box.

The first 3 pics, fabricated out of aluminum, now just waiting for it to warm up so that I can paint it (a little colder here today).

Will keep everyone posted.

remember to ground the bed to the cab, you will want as much ground plane as you can get for better reception, you can do it where it is hidden fairly close to the frame

several of the members in here use CB radios in their Rams & some of them have great reception with bed & hood mounts.
I use my Ram more for work than pleasure, i bit the bullet & i have a permanent roof mount

Thanks for the advice, I will ground it underneath somewhere that it cant be seen.

And I was going to go for the permanent roof mount, I just cant bite that bullet and have someone drill into my brand new truck

No Drilling On New Trucks Allowed Here!!! :D

Nice work there. Good luck with the mod!

i didn't & couldn't watch it happen either
just as i couldn't watch my full floor console being modified

i get paid to escort semi trucks & I have to be able to communicate with them & State police, no matter where i am, a cell phone doesn't count

ya, I think if I went permenant, I would have to drop it off, and just walk away lol

Show us when you get it interested in seeing it!
Good luck!

Drill? I cant do it.. Ill attach mine to the bed...I dont need the extra 100 yds mounting to the roof.. They have mounts that fit in the stake pocket. If i cant get the right stake pocket I might go with the hood lip mount.

I have a Ham radio if I want distance!

I'm looking for a mobile C.B. now.. maybe a cobra 19 or such. Real compact so it can be hidden well enough.
