Maddog says 2.5" in this thread... http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?p=397174

Every where I've checked says 2.5" also.

muffler that i have is 3" in dual 2.5 out
exhaust tips look like at least 3" maybe larger

chithead 01-05-2011 03:19 AM

I read that the tips are 4", and that a 5" will fill the gap better.

on my 2010, it is 2.25" dual out, but the tips are more like 3.5"

Thanks, did they re-do your tail section because you got the 2.25" muffler? I just wanted to know so I got the right outlet size and not have to redo the rear section.

I did it all myself. First I got a 3" in; dual 2.5" out because that is what I was told it was...which was incorrect. If you are just replacing the muffler and you have a dual out from the factory, it is 2.25" NOT 2.5"

2.25 is the winner! Confirmed by install! So 12278 would be the correct 18" muffler for us! 3" in 2.25" dual out! Thank you much! I know it wouldn't be hard for a shop to put an adapter in to go from 2.5 down to 2.25, but it's more money and time!

there seems to be some variability here because some people are running the 3 inch in and 2.5 out
