1500 front tow hooks installed

I don't know why they don't put these on our trucks as a standard, I don't even know what "package" the tow hooks come in.

But I wanted hooks on the truck, so I order a set brand new from a dealer for $127 shipped on Ebay. The install couldn't be simpler, remove 4 nut, install 2 bolts and re-install the 4 nuts. the worst part of it is cutting the holes in the plastic filler piece in the bumper. I used a small air powered reciprocating saw.

the install guide

Looks good. That's next on my to do list.

I think they should be standard on a 4x4 truck.

Nice mod, thanks for the pics. :rep: If you have a 4x4 I suggest you look under the truck for the skid plates. I'll bet they aren't there either.

Agree 100% - should be standard. I see many lesser vehicles running around with them. Great pics - these are next on my mod list. I've just been nervous to cut that front plastic piece and not screw it up, so I've been putting it off.

^^ Exactly... there are no skid plates at all under there!!!
I thought about getting the plates from mopar, but there aluminum and I'm going to make a set of my own from beefier steel. That probably wont be til the summer though, I hate being under a car in the winter...it always seems like its dripping cold water on me!

NICE TRUCK

I got the exact same Big horn in the exact same white color

Mine did come with the skid plate though and the tow hooks .

If you weren't on the other side of the world, I'd come over and help you make 2 sets. :D I don't like the oem plates either. The lack of plates keeps me from playing too.

what packages or extras did you get? I didn't see any trucks on the lot that had the tow hooks installed...just wondering if they are packaged in somewhere

I think its part of the protection group option

I am not to sure because I took a truck they had in stock when I bought it it had 2 customer prefered packages , I did not really notice the tow hooks were a big thing as my dads F150 came with them and I assumed they come on all trucks. I do love them though as I park my truck in the garage and the tow hooks help me as sometimes to squueze in I hit that dry wall LOL

but your trucks awsome

How do you like it ? I just ordered a fiberglass cover for mine So my truck will be all white , Did yours come with chrome side mirrors
